Call for Creatives! We’re Hiring a Video Editor
PROJECT SUMMARY
Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy (CSSDP) is expanding its Get Sensible program into Ontario by creating a series of unique PSAs. These PSAs will use Gen Z humor to effectively share harm reduction information from the Sensible Cannabis Education booklets. The aim is to promote responsible cannabis use by creatively subverting traditional PSA formats and providing diverse representation of youth experiences. The approach to executing these PSAs will be informed by a series of youth-led focus groups to hear directly from young people what types of messaging best resonates with them, and what mediums they are most likely to engage with (ie. long or short form videos, posters, comics, zines, etc.).

Disclaimers
We define youth loosely as people under 30, but also see youth as a fluid and self-defined experience (not strict about it), we define lived experience also as having some familiarity/experience with cannabis and being comfortable talking about it.
Since this film revolves around cannabis themes and cannabis use, we request that individuals are comfortable with the substance and are at ease portraying themselves under its influence or interacting with cannabis-related items.
CSSDP is an anti-oppression based organization that values diversity. We encourage applications from people with disabilities, Indigenous peoples, queer and trans people, people of colour, people who use drugs, queer folks and youth with other identities that are often marginalized.
